Southwest Georgia Living comes to Montaluce~

And just in time for a few of the most creative, not to mention delicious, items Chef Austin Rocconi has release from the kitchen at Le Vigne Restaurant of Montaluce!

So, as the wonderful crew from Southwest Georgia Living Magazine were tirelessly collecting information on everything from our Tuscan inspired weekend cottage getaways to our on site organic garden, our chef was enthusiastically preparing what would become, “one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten” -Editor and Photographer of Southwest Georgia Magazine.

What was so special about their visit to Montaluce & Le Vigne Restaurant?  well, it could have been the amazing views…

The view from the patio at lunch!

But we’re willing to bet it was a combination of some of the most incredible mountain and vineyard landscapes in Georgia AND a sample tasting of our new menu!

First the Watermelon Salad - shaved vidalia onion, shropshire blue cheese, chocolate mint, cucumber, watermelon sorbet

Second the Diver Scalllop-Anson Mills farro, cranberry, preserved kumquat, trout roe, baby arugula, lemon emulsion

Third the House Smoked Salmon-whipped goat cheese, pickled okra

For DESSERT, the Maple Creme Caramel-brown sugar ice cream & candied pecan

Between the cuisine, an overnight stay in one of our Tuscan Cottages, and the scenery, Editor Karen Snyder and her crew can’t wait to finish the upcoming issue featuring a spread on Montaluce!!

What about the Weddings!?!?

Every bride wants a beautiful view for her wedding day…and NO, not just her very soon to be husband, as handsome as he may be, but a dream-like setting and gorgeous rolling hills and scenery to remember on the big day as well!  If she’s a bride at Montaluce, That’s EXACTLY what she will get~

Absolutely stunning! Those are the first words that come to mind when we take a look back at the pictures from Krissy and Mike’s Montaluce wedding. The weather was unmistakably gorgeous this first weekend in October where the couple enjoyed a romantic vineyard ceremony. The decor of the reception was simple but elegant pairing wonderfully with the rustic interior of Le Vigne. Krissy and Mike are such a beautiful couple and we are thrilled that we were able to play a part in their special day!

The Dahlonega Nugget-on Austin Rocconi

Our Executive Chef Austin Rocconi was featured yesterday-May 14th, 2012-in an article by Matt Aiken of the Dahlonega Nugget!

“Austin Rocconi, executive chef at Montaluce’s Le Vigne Restaurant, recently turned in a top dish at the Golden Onion Chef competition in Vidalia.” (Dahlonega Nugget)

The article goes on to inform readers of Austin’s cooking career; including a culinary degree from Le Cordon Blue Culinary School in California, and working positions at Kyma Restaurant in Buckhead , BLT Steak Atlanta, and the Canoe Restaurant in Vinings.  All of the facts and excitement from the contest aside, Austin had just one more great thing to say about working at Montaluce.

“I feel like here we’re doing art on a  plate…The food on the plate is me on the plate. It’s how I express myself”-Austin Rocconi

Come in and do more than SEE what all the talk is about.  Taste it!
